We’re featuring the work of another Keller-based artist, the super-talented Anthony Martinez! Anthony has been bringing new life to license plates for years, and when Bonnie gave me a heart that he made as a gift, I knew I needed to introduce you to his work!
These rustic and charming heart-shaped state plates are a great way to express love for your home state—as the saying goes: "home is where the heart is."
State Plate Heart Art is made with license plates from all around the USA. They are cut and fastened by hand in Anthony’s shop in Keller, Texas. Every reused plate is unique, so each work of art is one-of-a-kind.

Each heart is made from two license plates. Your heart can be from one state or choose a different state for each side. If you have a special request, let us know in the Customize My Order form. I (Shane) grew up in a small town in Iowa, and Bonnie’s heart has always been here in the great state of Texas. Straight out of high school, I moved to Texas, met Bonnie, and instantly fell in love! I tried to move back north with her, but that didn't work out. Once winter came, we went back to Texas, and we've been here ever since!
Earlier this year, Bonnie commissioned Anthony to make the original State Plate Heart Art as a gift to celebrate where we’re from and the miracle of finding each other all those years ago! It’s one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever received, and it proudly hangs in my office today.
This distinctly American and completely customizable 'heartwork' is the perfect gift to celebrate special occasions for the car enthusiast in your life!
