Beauty From Ashes 🖤
In early October, a fire damaged our offices. Our engraver, art prints, and many of our reclaimed piano parts were destroyed. Thankfully, nobody was hurt and the impact was slight compared to the disaster that could have been.
We made these hearts from the charred remains of an antique desktop burned in the fire. Bonnie's grandmother gave us the work table years ago—it had been a fixture in our shop ever since. The fire burned and blackened the tabletop so it was no longer useable, but with a coating of clear epoxy, it has become this beautiful collection of blackened Hearts From The Fire! ❤️🔥
When we posted about the fire on social media many of our followers suggested we make hearts that had survived the fire, and this beautiful desktop was the ideal piece of wood to reclaim.
We were able to make 200 hearts from the burned desk. Due to the limited supply, and to give you a chance to support our little business after the fire, we are selling these hearts for $15.00 each.
