As a child, I remember wondering, “What's so good about Good Friday?” How could the painful and humiliating death of Jesus be called good?
Good Friday wouldn’t be cause for celebration if it weren’t for what happened next—the resurrection. When Jesus rose again, He defeated death and broke the curse of the cross.
From time to time, we see comments on social media from people who don’t understand this—saying things like, “Why are you selling ancient torture devices?”
This makes sense from their perspective. I once wondered the same thing.
Because without the resurrection, the cross is just that—a symbol of suffering. But what happened next changed everything.
What took place on Good Friday was the sacrifice.
What followed on Easter Sunday revealed its power.
The cross is no longer a symbol of death, but of love—of a sacrifice willingly made to save us.
So that whoever believes in Him has the incredible gift of life—with Him—forever.
We’ve been so blessed not only to believe this truth, but to share it through the work of our hands.
To reflect on all that is good about Good Friday, we created a small showcase of crosses we’ve built over the past year.
It’s always meaningful to see these pieces find homes in churches and families across the country—and we’re grateful to play even a small part in that story.
