The Old Rugged Cross

The Old Rugged Cross
These crosses are indeed old and rugged—reclaimed from century-old piano headers—and the wood is darkened with age, bearing many holes and scars from years as a piano. We're giving these old wooden parts new life by turning them into crosses—the Christian symbol for rebirth, redemption, and life made new!

And to make them even more meaningful, we're engraving each cross with custom-designed lyrics and antique sheet music of the classic hymn "The Old Rugged Cross," originally written by George Bennard in 1912 and sung in gatherings around the world since then.

So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
