Vintage Typography + Reclaimed Wood
We've been making so many letters & numbers lately! It's been exciting to see our reclaimed letters become so popular! They have always been one of our favorite things to make, and we love having the opportunity to optimize and improve them during this sudden surge in demand.
Since the beginning, we've been making our letters the same way—using one style and relying on our reclaimed wood to distinguish each letter—although we're happy with the results of the slow evolution our letters have undergone, today we have a few new ideas to share!
Introducing the Wood Type Collection, this limited release is a collection of typographic ideas expressed in wooden forms. Lettering, numbering, and emojis are all explored. We've experimented with new sizes, materials, and shapes to create new and beautiful combinations, and we're excited to show you what we've made!

B is for Beautiful
This beautiful B was made in the same style we use to make our bookcase and turntable stand tabletops— with 1 ¼ inch strips of reclaimed piano wood laminated together in a stripe motif.

Designed in the super-wide Hellenic style, this D has long, flat serifs and is made with four layers of laminated remnant pine.

This gorgeous condensed G was made in the same style we use to make our bookcase and turntable stand tabletops— with 1 ¼ inch strips of reclaimed piano wood laminated together in a stripe motif.

This is the first letter we made over 12 inches tall! At 16 inches, it's mega-sized, according to us!

We made an end-grain cutting board that didn't meet our quality standards—so instead of throwing it out—we reclaimed it by turning it into this beautiful walnut mosaic R.

W is for White
This shabby chic rustic W was made with a vintage reclaimed bed and other reclaimed wood scraps. It has been painted, nailed, screwed, painted white, and distressed to perfect imperfection. We're so happy with how it turned out!

High Five
Reclaimed pallet wood is the sole source of this exquisite five's existence.

Heart = Love
This beautiful heart emoji was made with reclaimed maple wood from piano headers and remnant wood we found around the shop. We engraved the aged wood with the lyrics of the classic Beatles song All You Need Is Love—it's adorable!
